Diary

Our Meetings for Worship take place at the Village Hall, Uplyme each and every Sunday at 10 a.m. Worship is followed by a short fellowship and refreshments.
On 5th Sundays we continue with a shared lunch and/or Eldership and Oversight Meeting. At least six times per year we hold a Meeting for Worship for Business which extends after Fellowship. The clerk will advise Meeting as and when there are to be any changes to this programme.
Meeting in a large village hall enables us to accept very large groups to visit and Meet with us. This is very useful, when, in the summer months the district is 'invaded' by Area Meeting camping groups from afar! We have the accomodation to cope with up to 200! Some warning of your invasion would be appreciated though, especially when it come to refreshments!!!

We have been meeting in the evenings. Meetings are held at Charmouth Village Library on the second Mondays in each month. The initial Meeting was to write a piece as a report on Corporate Eldership & Oversight, as it works for us at Lyme LM. The following month we started Learning Meetings for our Attenders and Enquirers. These are open meetings inviting members of the public to learn about Quakerism and Q History soon.

From September 30th 2012 we started holding Shared Lunches preceeded by E&O Meetings on 5th Sundays. This will be from after Meeting refreshments time until 2pm latest. Please contact the clerk for further info. Dates have been ratified by Bookings Manager of the Village Hall. Occassionally an extraordinary Shared Lunch Meeting is held  when Friends from other AM Meetings are invited to join us.

During spring into early summer we arrange a pilgrimage to Membury Burial Ground, just to the north of Axminster. There was a Meeting House as well as the burial ground back when Quakers were not welcome to worship in Axminster. The burial ground was adopted by the parish council when the council was led by a quaker woman whose ancestors are buried there.

We hold this year's pilgrimage on 22nd May including a short MfW, followed by tea in the lovely garden of one of our friends down in Axminster.  We look forward to the next pilgrimage.
